The Breeze is Back......... least we hope so!

This Sunday will see the divisions competing in Race 9 of the MCC Series. Results and

Sausage Sizzle back at MBTBC downstairs!

Unfortunately the weather Gods did not play their part and the race committee was forced to abandon both days of races. A first in MCC history! And hopefully something that won't be repeated for another 100 years. A big thank you to MBTBC for hosting the Xmas in July dinner and all those who came along to celebrate. Thank you also to our great sponsors - Victron Energy, Helm Insurance and Doyle Sailmakers!

This Saturday 6th August 2 around the cans races are proposed. Entries via MCC

4 boats are signed up for the 2 weekend 4 race Series. Briefing to be held at 12 noon Darling Point Sailing Squadron. With BBQ / Burgers and results at 5pm back at DPSS.

With only a few more races to go in the 2022 Series, it is important for everyone to realize the effort and time the MCC volunteers give to make our races possible. Just a couple of quick reminders that we should all be enuring we follow out on the water -

1. Manners on the VHF radio - not everyone is always receiving broadcasts during races. Please ensure you are using the ships VHF (and NOT a handheld) radio when transmitting. This will greatly improve your chances of being heard.

2. Fixed navigation marks - please refer to the Sailing Instructions RE minimum

distances that must be maintained when rounding marks. We do not want a

situation with MSQ where racing using navigation marks is not possible.

3. Anchors on bows - please remove your anchor from the bow roller prior to

We look forward to seeing everyone out on the water - Good Luck!
